Fra "Den storslagne plassen", El Plaza Mayor, hvor panoramavinklingen her lurer litt, for de to templene, Jaguartemplet og Masketemplet, ligger rett mot hverandre. For alt jeg vet bygde de templene mest for å komme bort fra myggen nede i jungelen, men det er bare en teori, altså.

 
From The Great Plaza in Tikal. The angle is sort of disorienting, as these two temples, The Temple of the Great Jaguar and The Temple of the Masks, face each other straight on. For all I know, the Mayas built these giants (44 and 38 meters tall) to get away from the mosquitoes in the damp jungle below, but that's just my theory.
