Detection of Underlying Patterns

By using statistical principles, the importance of the different attribute values in determining the classes is investigated. If it is not certain (with a confidence level of ie. 95%) that the value of an attribute makes a difference in the probability of an object belonging to a specific class, that attribute shall not be used to describe the class.
