Running RCLASS Directly from the Command Prompt

The classification program may also be started directly from the command line. The options are the same as those described in the previous subsection. The syntax is shown in Figure gif, and will also appear if one simply writes rclass at the command prompt.

When starting RCLASS directly with parameters, only the three last arguments which are all filenames are needed. The rest are only used to change the default settings. If one for instance wish to ignore the blocks, ``-i'' must be written in front of the file names. The result from the program is written to standard output, and may be redirected to a file by appending ``>outfile'' at the end of the command.
