Description:
Fuzzball is exactly that. A 3' diameter, floating, grey dustbunny with a bright yellow cape and a black Lone Ranger mask. It has no limbs, eyes, nose, mouth or ears. It seems to have a front side, evidenced by the indentations made by the mask and cape ties over time. It cannot speak any human-comprehensible language, but has learned to communicate with its image power.

History:
In late 1983, the USAF and NASA tracked a UFO entering the Earth's atmosphere at high speed. The UFO crash landed near Morehead, Kentucky. When Air Force and NASA authorities arrived, they watched the sole surviving being, a 3 foot ball of fuzz emerge from the wreckage and begin to fly away. Several of the NASA officials tried to pursue it throw the woods, but it evaded them. During the chase, several members of a Morehead-based supergroup called Freedom Force arrived to lend aid. They saw the fuzzball being chased and distracted the NASA officials, allowing it to escape. NASA and the Air Force took possession of the wreckage and left. As Freedom Force left, the fuzzball followed. They discovered it and adopted it as a pet, naming it (very originally) Fuzzball. After a few days, they realized that it was an intelligent being and was learning to communicate with them. They allowed it to join them as a Super-Hero. With the formation of a new group in Lexington, Ky, Fuzzball moved to the big city. After several years and many adventures, Fuzzball decided to leave the group and see the world. It still fights crime wherever it finds it, but no longer calls any one place home.

Personality:
Fuzzball is a rather laid-back creature. It seems to consider the fight against crime to be fun and exciting. It knows the difference between good and evil, and right and wrong (even humans' somewhat warped sense of both).

It is generally amused by the two human sexes and by watching interactions between the sexes. When communicating with humans it knows, it creates an image of itself (or another creature) that speaks. With unfamiliar people, it will always use a sound-only image that makes it appear that it is actually speaking. It likes to play games with kids by hiding and creating images and sounds near the children and watch them chase the image or hunt for the sounds.

When in combat, its favorite image is of a Morehead-based superhero called Red Wraith. Red Wraith is cocky, loud, obnoxious, and generally somewhat crude. He is known in the Kentucky/Ohio areas as a fairly powerful hero. Red Wraith normally attacks by going desolid and resolidifying his fist (or other body part) inside of an opponent (a no-range no-normal-defense energy blast). Fuzzball will create an image of Red Wraith that generally tells an opponent how badly he is going to beat them. The Red Wraith image will act much like a cocky, obnoxious hero that tries to get close enough to a villain to use the NND attack.

Another favorite tactic for interrogating normals (non-powered humans) is to entangle an opponent and use its telekinesis to lift them off high off the ground and threaten to drop them if they don't tell it what it wants to know.

Other Stuff:
Fuzzball's race is mono-sexual (only one sex) and is sterile. They were created by a very advanced, interstellar race for entertainment. A large number of these creatures were being transported to a new colony, when the ship malfunctioned and dropped out of hyperspace near Earth and crashed there.

Even though its race are nearly slaves, and Fuzzball has now experienced the freedom of an Earth being, it does not understand the concepts of slavery and freedom.

The heroes who rescued Fuzzball from the NASA agents called it "fuzzball" for lack of anything else. As it began to understand English, it liked the name and kept it.

It communicates with others of its kind by movements, movements of its fuzz, and by sounds created by rubbing its fuzz together.
