Introduction

Beta-Force lives up to its name quite well. It is an experimental force created by the United States Army in the year 1970. The reason for its creation is still unknown. In the year 1990 the group was formally disbanded due to budget cuts. Although the government has refused any more funding, the group has continued on its own, creating a small paramilitary orginization with money provided by personal investors.

The current goal of Beta-Force is to continue research in hopes that the Government will some day become interested in the project and begin funding again. Until then, Beta-Force has resorted to acting as a sort of security agency. Though their rates are high, their protection is almost unbeatable, and above all they promise that "If anything is stolen while we're watching we'll get it back. period."

Quite simply, this Battlesuit is technological piece of equipment that has quite a few functions. The first, and most obvious, is armor. It provides better protection than most standard- issue police hardware. The battlesuit also has a pistol-like weapon which provides what can best be termed as "High Caliber Rebuttle". Having both a plasma bolt and a high-velocity .45 cal. in a pistol- like gun which is attached to the suit in some way at all times.

The weapons pack is the standard "grunt" weapon. Even though the Suit itself has two weapons, they are meant mostly for defence and thus aren't terribly powerful. The weapons pack is a set of offensive weapons for the soldiers.

The Beta Bike is really just a rather large motorcycle. Made in a small company in Italy, the Beta-Bike is both a kind of prototype and for Beta-Force it serves as a scout vehicle. It is lightly- armored vehicle which protects the rider from the front and minimally from the side. The vehicle itself has no weaponry though the riders usually carry personal firearms.

Beta-Force's base is primarily underground. The first design [the one I use in my games] is stuck on an island, in a lake, inside a major city. The base is quite heavily defended and has been designed primarily as a strong point, able to survive almost any frontal attack. Levels 1, 2, and B1-B3 follow, though there are large portions missing due to lack of information.

Note: Levels B1-B3 can only be reached with a pass-key which is issued only to persons of Captain or higher. Also take note that Beta-Force personnel do not live on the premises. Levels 1 and 2 are almost completely offices.

As for the stats of the building, I'm not going to put them here. No-one is really sure exactly what is in the restricted levels. It is possible that they stretch much further than showing on these maps. And also, the plans were destroyed shortly after completion of the structure, so there is no written record of what materials went in to the building itself, though it is safe to surmise that it will probably exhibit certain exotic characteristics, coupled with durability at least equal to concrete.
