My name is Trond Eivind Glomsrød, I'm 28 years old, and I was raised
in Halden, a small town in the southeastern part of Norway. After
finishing high school there, I left for Trondheim where I got the
title "Sivilingeniør" (equivalent to master of science in
engineering) at NTNU, the
Norwegian University of Science and Technology. My degree is in applied mathematics. At the end of
the studies, I also worked at the High
Performance Computing project at the university - which lead to me
spending most of my military service as a developer at their biggest
partner, DNMI, the Norwegian
meteorological institute. After finishing my service there, I moved to
the USA where I worked a couple of years for Red Hat, working on the
development of Red Hat
Linux, one of the flagship products and the leading distribution
of Linux. I moved back in the autumn of 2002 and now work with
Linux/High Performance Computing at Scali
