Sånn så stakkars, lille Lupita ut to sekunder etter at Maria hadde sendt avgårde blitzen sin rett i øynene på henne. Det var visst ikke så ofte hun hadde blitt tatt bilde av, siden hun åpenbart trodde at nå kom hun til å bli blind for resten av livet.
Folk rundt Atitlan-sjøen spesielt, og i store deler av Guatemala generelt, er flinke til å gå med bunad. Det er eldgamle mønstre på dem, så gamle at de kan minne om grafikken på en Commodore 64.
Poor, little Lupita, two seconds after my friend Maria had exploded a flash in her face. Apparently Lupita has not been photographed a whole lot in her life, judging from how she seemed to despair at the thought of being blind for the rest ofher life.
People around Lake Atitlan in particular, and in large parts of Guatemala in general, happily wear traditional clothes. On them there are patterns so ancient that they reminded me of Commodore 64 graphics.
