This section describes the proposed PGP authentication scheme. It has been designed to use the Telnet Authentication framework described in section 2.10. Using this framework makes it both compatible with the existing Telnet versions which already has adopted RFC 1416 and simplifies the implementation of PGP authentication in these existing applications.
The PGP authentication scheme has been written in the form of a RFC draft document. See Appendix 1. The following sub-sections give a deeper description of this RFC draft, and the design choices made.
